Les Parisiens de Spiritori sont de retour\u2026 ou plut\u00f4t de Spirit Of The Day<\/a>, puisque le nom a chang\u00e9 en cours de route ! Pas d\u2019inqui\u00e9tude : derri\u00e8re cette nouvelle identit\u00e9, on retrouve les m\u00eames bouteilles, la m\u00eame charte graphique \u00e9pur\u00e9e et surtout, des tarifs toujours aussi accessibles. Je pense juste que d’autres avaient pens\u00e9 \u00e0 ce nom avant eux \ud83e\udd37\ud83c\udffb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et pour cette nouvelle fourn\u00e9e, un Port Mourant 2010 fait son apparition et Jimmy Rivi\u00e8re<\/strong> s’est dit que ce serait chouette de me le faire d\u00e9couvrir, id\u00e9e avec laquelle je suis plut\u00f4t d’accord \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et de fait, je suis assez curieux de ce que cela peut donner, ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 assez fan du PM 2010<\/a> de chez nos amis de chez Bristol, est-ce un f\u00fbt fr\u00e8re ? En tous cas, la qualit\u00e9 de ce gros batch \u00e9tait vraiment tr\u00e8s belle, on peut donc esp\u00e9rer une belle d\u00e9couverte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour ce qui est de sa petite carte d’identit\u00e9, c’est donc un rhum distill\u00e9 chez DDL \u00e0 partir de l’alambic en bois \u00ab\u00a0Port Mourant\u00a0\u00bb, il titre 54.3%<\/strong> d’alcool et a vieilli 15 ans en ex f\u00fbt de bourbon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A noter que la couleur ne semble pas indiquer un gros Dark Demerara Rum, on est plus dans le style des PM \u00ab\u00a0classiques\u00a0\u00bb. Ne vous fiez donc pas trop \u00e0 ma photo de voucerture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nez<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Relativement brioch\u00e9, le premier nez de ce Port Mourant semble tr\u00e8s gourmand et concentr\u00e9, on retrouve une belle vanille bien grasse, des fruits du verger comme la pomme-poire-quetsche, de la banane verte, quelques \u00e9pices dont le poivre blanc et une fine r\u00e9glisse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensuite, une p\u00e2te d’amande bien app\u00e9tissante, un fin caramel, quelques agrumes confits, des raisins secs et une tranche de pain grill\u00e9 accompagn\u00e9 de son chocolat blanc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comme souvent avec les Port Mourant, on y retoruverait limite un l\u00e9ger c\u00f4t\u00e9 malt\u00e9 qui pourrait plaire \u00e0 pas mal d’amateurs de whisky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bouche<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aucune pointe m\u00e9tallique ou am\u00e8re, c’est tr\u00e8s gourmand, beurr\u00e9 avec un beau nappage au caramel sur une compot\u00e9e de fruits du verger, d’agrumes, d’huile d’amande, de massepain cru et de r\u00e9glisse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C’est vraiment tr\u00e8s gourmand, le c\u00f4t\u00e9 confits est super agr\u00e9able et pas la moindre trace de savon qui peut de temps en temps se retrouver ci et l\u00e0 suivant les diff\u00e9rents batch issus de cet alambic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La finale nous laisse un beau chocolat blanc, du caramel et des raisins de Corinthe avec un fin voile de poivre et de muscade… et de savon en r\u00e9tro olfaction au final \ud83d\ude05, mais c’est tr\u00e8s discret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les 54% passent cr\u00e8me, rien \u00e0 dire de ce c\u00f4t\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tr\u00e8s beau Port Mourant qui rassemble tout ce que j’aime dans les rhums issus de cet alambic… bravo, tr\u00e8s beau f\u00fbt, tr\u00e8s belle s\u00e9lection, tr\u00e8s chouette tarif !<\/p>\n\n\n\n
