Eh bien, apr\u00e8s avoir explor\u00e9 plusieurs armagnacs issus de la maison Hontamb\u00e8re<\/strong>, je pensais faire une petite pause avant de d\u00e9couvrir un nouveau mill\u00e9sime. Mais c’\u00e9tait sans compter sur les amis de Grape Of The Art<\/strong> ! Lors de leur r\u00e9cent voyage chez Hontamb\u00e8re, ils ont eu l’opportunit\u00e9 de d\u00e9guster et de s\u00e9lectionner plusieurs f\u00fbts. Parmi ces d\u00e9couvertes, quelques versions ont particuli\u00e8rement retenu leur attention : dont ce f\u00fbt B4, issu de l’ancien domaine Pouchegu<\/strong>. Une belle surprise en perspective, que j\u2019ai h\u00e2te de d\u00e9guster \u00e0 mon tour ! \ud83e\udd73<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J\u2019ai eu la chance de d\u00e9guster un superbe mill\u00e9sime 1985<\/a>, suivi d\u2019un 1982<\/a> absolument stratosph\u00e9rique, ces d\u00e9couvertes m\u2019ont ensuite conduit vers un 1975 au bois\u00e9 tr\u00e8s marqu\u00e9, avant de d\u00e9couvrir un 1996<\/a> qui correspondait parfaitement \u00e0 mes attentes. Avec un tel parcours, je pars donc du principe que ce mill\u00e9sime 1997 devrait, lui aussi, \u00eatre d\u2019une grande qualit\u00e9\u2026 Du moins, c\u2019est ce que j\u2019esp\u00e8re vivement ! Il ne me reste plus qu\u2019\u00e0 le v\u00e9rifier par moi-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Issu \u00e0 100 % du c\u00e9page Ugni Blanc, cet armagnac distill\u00e9 en 1997 a b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d\u2019un long vieillissement de 26 ans en chais sec. Une partie de cette maturation s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e chez Hontamb\u00e8re, le domaine d\u2019origine \u2013 Pouchegu <\/strong>\u2013 ayant aujourd\u2019hui disparu. Pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans sa version brute de f\u00fbt, il affiche un imposant 53,8 % d\u2019alcool, une belle d\u00e9couverte en perspective si on repense \u00e0 ses pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseurs !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nez<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Plut\u00f4t fruit\u00e9 et assez p\u00e2tissier, nous allons retrouver pas mal de fruits cuits commes les pommes, les poires et les abricots, suivis d’agrumes juteux, de fruits secs comme les dattes ou le figues, une l\u00e9g\u00e8re acidit\u00e9, du nougats, du miel, de la cire d’abeille et pas mal d’\u00e9pices relativement douces et chaleureuses comme la vanille et une pointe de r\u00e9glisse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensuite, la p\u00e2te d’amandes sucr\u00e9e, une fraicheur l\u00e9g\u00e8rement menthol\u00e9e, du chocolat au lait et un caramel\/beurre sal\u00e9 viennent terminer tout cet ensemble assez concentr\u00e9 et agr\u00e9able.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’alcool est tr\u00e8s bien int\u00e9gr\u00e9, on a du peps mais cela semble tr\u00e8s gourmand et rond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bouche<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La nougatine vient directement \u00e0 nous, accompagn\u00e9e de pas mal de fruits compot\u00e9s, d’agrumes l\u00e9g\u00e8rement acides, de fruits \u00e0 coques comme les noix, noisettes, d’un fin caramel, de mokatines, d’abricots et une empreinte bois\u00e9e pr\u00e9sente mais non exub\u00e9rante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On va bien entendu retrouver du bois\u00e9, des chocolat noir, de la r\u00e9glisse, un peu de cuir mais tout cela est relativement bien \u00e9quilibr\u00e9 avec les fruits et un fin voile menthol\u00e9 du meilleur effet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’alcool porte toujours tr\u00e8s bien cette belle s\u00e9lection, en amenant peps et vigueur sans diminuer le plaisir de d\u00e9gustation…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comme souvent, bien jou\u00e9e Mr Laporte et l’\u00e9quipe de Hontamb\u00e8re ! Du grand art o\u00f9 la complexit\u00e9, la gourmandise et l’\u00e9quilibre sont encore de mise… Must Have !<\/p>\n\n\n\n
