D\u00e9cid\u00e9ment, on voit de plus en plus sortir des Chairman’s Reserve de chez Saint Lucia Distillers, avec assez bien de succ\u00e8s semble-t-il… Et derni\u00e8rement, Rhum Attitude<\/a> nous a s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 un nouveau f\u00fbt apr\u00e8s celui de 2022<\/a>, qu’on avait assez bien aim\u00e9 \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s une distillation en double colonne Coffey, ce rhum de m\u00e9lasse a vieilli 13 ans dans un f\u00fbt ex-bourbon qui porte le num\u00e9ro 0167032009. Le f\u00fbt a \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9 lors d\u2019une premi\u00e8re s\u00e9lection du ma\u00eetre de chai Cyril Mangal. Rhum Attitude a ensuite choisi ce dernier et nous le propose brut de f\u00fbt, \u00e0 61% d’alcool…\ud83e\udd75<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nez<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Puissant, il lui faudra pas mal d’a\u00e9ration et un verre type Samaroli histoire de laisser partir les premi\u00e8res vapeurs d’alcools plus rapidement…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensuite, c’est une avalanche de fruits qui se pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 nous avec une belle rasade de caramel beurre sal\u00e9 et de vanille, rendant le profil tr\u00e8s gourmand, voir m\u00eame p\u00e2tissier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On retrouve de la brioche au raisin, de la marmelade d’orange et citron, le toffee, la mokatine avec quelques traces de colle. Ensuite, le bois\u00e9 arrive avec des notes de tabac, chocolat au lait, r\u00e9glisse et un c\u00f4t\u00e9 floral assez capiteux. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’alcool chauffe quand m\u00eame d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 ce niveau, dommage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bouche<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Etrangement, l’alcool se sent d’une point de vue aromatique, mais n’arrache pas les dents du fond… c’est assez \u00e9trange en fait et pas super agr\u00e9able comme premier contact avec une impression d’alcool pur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensuite, on retrouve le c\u00f4t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s gourmand d\u00e9couvert au nez, \u00e0 savoir un beau caramel beurre sal\u00e9 encore, des fruits confits\/chocolat\u00e9s, du cake au raisin, de la vanille bien grasse et des raisins secs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La finale propose un c\u00f4t\u00e9 plus sombre avec du bois cendr\u00e9, tabac et quelques notes plus fum\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alors c’est bon… mais c’est fort hein les mecs \ud83d\ude42 Il lui faut vraiment du temps et ne sera pas le petit rhum du soir peinard entre amis. Une fois ce laps de temps pass\u00e9, c’est un monstre de gourmandise, mais il y a cette impression d’alcool pur un peu d\u00e9rangeant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’aurais probablement plus appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 une version moins forte. Mais bon, vous commencez \u00e0 me connaitre hein \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n
